Street Design Team

Walking and cycling Urbanism

We collaborate with community members to realize streets that are safe, healthy and thriving.

Street Design Team is an advisory focused on promoting cycling and walking mobility and urbanism in the Middle East. We work to realize human-centered cities, stronger economies, and healthier societies. Additionally, our objective is to aid city practitioners to decrease transport emissions, traffic congestion, and road accidents in a cost-effective and reliable manner.

Why is it important?

Great city spaces are conducive for individuals to congregate, linger, and traverse. They fulfill their intended purpose within their specific context, and contribute to the prosperity of the community.

They excel in fostering safety, sociability, accessibility, and inclusivity. As such great city spaces are pedestrian-friendly.

Unfortunately, these places are in short-supply, and the demand for walkable areas greatly exceeds the available supply.

Our start up aims to resolve this imbalance and expand the walking and cycling networks in our cities.  In turn, the successful implementation of walkable cities positively impacts the health of our citizens, our environment and economic growth.

Why is it important?

Great city spaces are where individuals congregate, linger, and traverse.

These spaces are effective in fulfilling their intended purpose within a specific context and contribute to the prosperity of the community.

They excel in terms of safety, sociability, accessibility, and inclusivity. They are always pedestrian-friendly.

Unfortunately, these places are in short-supply, and the demand for walkable areas greatly exceeds the available supply.

We want to address that, by utilizing methods such as promoting walking and cycling to enhance our cities and consequently, improve public health, the environment, and economic growth.
